Please note that the West End Drop-In has transitioned to the Pimicikamak Wellness Centre in the old Balmoral Hotel. New things are happening out of the WestEnd Commons’ basement drop-in space, including a seniors’ drop-in on Mondays hosted by St Matthew’s and St Paul’s Anglican Churches.

St. Matthew’s-Maryland Community Ministry was formed through a joint effort between St. Matthew’s Anglican and Maryland United churches in 1971. After the dissolution of Maryland United [1995], the ministry continued as a joint Anglican-United ministry. Until recently the ministry was located in the lower level of the West End Commons. It was an active meeting place for neighbours, community volunteers and church volunteers from around our city.

St. Matthew’s-Maryland Community Ministry, along with former ministries in the core of Winnipeg Oak Table and West Broadway Community Ministry, has become part of the non-profit organization 1JustCity.
